sounds like you figured it out.....I can agree that the instruction manual included with the hardware is a little lacking...it took me a little while to figure out how to get the face plate off, and I couldnt figure out where the battery guage was...but I eventually found it. Poor documentation!

yeah, theres a "gauge" or meter for the battery in the wireless controller on the screen, if you hit the silver button and get the blade with all your personal settings and stuff, there is a little picture of a battery at the very top right.
