Sorry if this has been asked before but the search function is still disabled & crap.

Just got hold of a play & charge kit, plugged it in switched on console, light lit red all fine and dandy. Turned off console using the controller, video & power light both went off but the fans are still running and now still blowing warm air hours after.

Red light still on play & charge kit bit.

Is this normal having the fans blowing hot air out the back & charging while off?

Mine continued to blow air out the back after I turned it off after a long day of playing games. I assume it is to continue cooling off the system since it gets pretty warm. Same thing happens to a lot of automobiles if its really hot outside. The fan keeps running after you turn off the car to cool it down.

It was only on for 5 mins to test the play & charge and it's never done this before after playing hard for hours.
Strange.
Must be charging the controller up from scratch (brand new).

Yes, its does it for me all the time. Its on cuz there has to be some way to get power to the controller to charge.

yeah, cheers.
It went off on it's own after it fully charged the battery.
You'd think they'd mention something about this in the manuals with the play & charge kit.
Would've saved folk wondering.

This is exactly the answer I started to look for on here. I completely agree, I assumed it was because fo the controller, but needed to know.

Now I have to search for the power brick lights. Is Green mean on, and Orange standby?

Yea It charges the battery then shuts down the controller and the system.
