Xbox360 Repair..takes Forever
« on: December 13, 2005, 09:35:00 PM »

The quoted 7-10 business day turn around is BS! I have waited going on 20 days now and still have nothing returned to me. I have been on the phone with M$ on and off for the last 10 days in a row. Now i know some of u were lucky and recieved your consoles back quickly and were completely satisfied, but my experience has been quite the opposite. The repair center hasnt even relayed to M$ that they have recieved it. Therefore i cent even be updated on the status of its repair.

DHL has tracked the console to the repair center in McAllen TX, and it is even signed for yet M$ hasnt seen anything besides my complaints to show that the console was even there.

If anyone has any ideas of how to help "speed" along the process please let me know.
i need all the help i can get! unsure.gif

if ur gonna send your console in for repairs think twice

thats stupid, what are you going to do just let the warranty run out and have a 400$ paperweight?

I talked to MS the other day to clearify why some people say they have been waiting more then 8 days to get there system back. They informed me it's DHL's problem losing your shipment I would contact them and find out what is going on.

It was a suggestion for people to wait a bit to send it in... there are ALOT of problems with their return systems....

And as an update I sent a fax directly to Robbie Bach and one of the corporate employees responded withing 3 hrs. with an answer that yes indeed they were shipping me my console within 2 days WITH FREE wireless controlers, games, and xbox live subscriptions....looks like my patience as well as bitching paid off....so SCREW all you with your 'smart' opinions. in the end my CHOICE of being a pain in M$ ass was the best choice!

being a pain in the ass worked for me smile.gif

just curious, what was wrong with your 360 that caused u to send in for repair?

and the best thing u can do right now is send it in to m$ for repair. u cant do walmart swaps yet as they have no stock..

use m$'s warranty up until the last few days, then pickup a 360 and do some swaps to keep your warranty going. or get bestbuys warranty. but once again, as of now, all u can do is send in for repairs as no one has stock.

I thougt your suggestion was for people to "think twice" and "wait a bit to send it in" not constantly complain... which BTW is what most of the "smart people" were suggesting  unsure.gif

Yeah ok. Instead of getting a 360 fixed I will just use it as a $400 paperweight. Great advice!
