Does England 360 Play Us 360 Games?

I was wondering if anybody knows the compatibility of xbox 360's? I'm looking at buying one from England and want to make sure that it will play US games. Please help.

some but not all, apperantly most 3rd party games are not region encoded so you can play them(condemed, cod2, nfsmw) but the first party games are so you can't play them (kameo, pdz, pgr3)

So if I want to play those games I need a US 360? Is there possibly a way to do some kind of software patch to allow it to play other region codes? Or would that require a mod chip?

that needs a chip... and I beleive that most 3rd party games are also region locked... but please correct me if im wrong.

It depends on the company. MS doesn't enforce region coding, but a lot of publishers like to use it.
