At First Boot Black Screen Then Reboot And It Works?
« on: December 09, 2005, 03:44:00 PM »

Does anybody have this problem too. When ik leave my xbox off for about 4 hours and ik try to boot it then i get a black screen. When I reboot it, it works perfectly. So it only does this at the first boot after a long time of inactivity. Who has this problem also and knows what is causing this?

Ruben

Just in case anyone is following this thread, I just got off the phone w/ xbox cust. support and they are having me send it in for repair.  I'll post back after they've returned it to let you know how it went.

I thought I should maybe register and reply after seeing this. I'm in the UK and get the black screen on boot up problem.  Or should I say, I used to get the black screen problem.

I always used to unplug the 360 from the mains after use, so out of curiousity I started leaving it plugged in when not in use and I now long longer get the black screen.

has anyone else tried this?

Keep the cable off of the heat output of the back? If you lay it flat on a table, put the video cable away from the fans. Cables arent meant to heat up?
