If I remember correctly, you can connect wirelessly as long as the other box has a wireless adapter too (I'd assume this is obvious).

cross over in the first xbox, and unless MS has put somekind of hub in the 360 (lol), you need a crossover for system link

A crossover cable. It connects two systems. Have fun. smile.gif
