seems they have quite a few different suppliers, the pcb is diffrent between my 2 wireless controllers even. this may be normal though, im not sure. just thought it was odd

yeah it is a bit odd that there woudl be as many differences as there are at the moment. but then again, the have been in production for quite a while, and there may already be v1.0 and 1.1 boards, as well as other revisions of other equiptment

Maybe we can get a thread going for people to post what theirs look like?  Maybe all of the "busted" units are coming from the same place and can be more easily identified?

hmm well, Mine is big serial #, Ive played more than 70 hours and its working great.

What about the power supplies... maybe we can find something there...

Big serial number.... and mine is screwed up really bad. I get no sound from the startup animation, and all my games freeze within 1-2 minutes of play. Hexen lasts for about 10-15 minutes before freeze.

Mine's the bigger style, and has been working fine.  Madden 2006 locked up once, but upon reboot it has worked fine ever since.
