How Long Did It Take To Know Your Hardware Was Defective

I played mine for, quite literally, 3 minutes before it made a funny hardware sound, froze up, and has yet to work again.

wow, are all first shipment systems expected to have crashing hds?  glad i couldnt find one...

about 20 hours of gameplay and it couldn't read my saved games, turned it off then back on and 3 red lights.

The hard drive is not actully failed though. If your hard drive is the cause then you can remove it and the system will work again, if it still doesnt work its an internal issue.
