Your right about that.  Looks like all the hangs were comming from the power supply not having enough air movement.

Broken Or Working?

I bought mine in Canada.

It is overheating (games are freezing) unless I blow a fan across the back of the unit. Both the console and power supply are propped up off the floor and well ventilated away from any heat sources.

How powerful is the exhaust fan on other people's consoles? When I put my hand along the back the airflow coming out feels pretty weak. I'm wondering if this is normal or if my fan is underpowered or something.

maybe i'm missing something but how is your 360 in the air?  it looks sort of slanted, put it on a flat surface, not like it should really help but, never know.

more back on topic:
my 360 works fine, only time it's frozen is if i try to exit the guide before data from live loads.  like if i'm trying to look at someone's gamercard and it doesn't load, if i try to exit the guide it'll freeze.  also something else happened in the guide, don't know what, but it's all been guide related and only happen twice.  the guide problems i experienced just seemed to be software issues and not hardware.

Mine will not power on correctly after its been off for a while, no audio or video signal being sent just flashing green lights on the controller and 360.  After 2 or 3 resets it will start and then work fine until it sits off for a few hours again.  This has nothing to do with the overheating console or PSU as it only happens when the system has been off for a few hours.
