I just got off the phone with MS and they wont replace just the cable/brick. They wanted the console (just the console). After rexeplaining everything (that it worked fine with someone else's brick) The rep put me on hold and got back on asking for console and power unit. (they wont touch my xbox as i opened it

) So i declined. Seems they absolutely refuse to believe that just the power unit could be the problem as their initial response is to take the console away

I called Circuit City and their Customer Service Manager called 18004MYXBOX and explained my situation to them. She got them to ok just the power supply unit to be sent to me!

The customer service manager called me back and gave me the confirmation number and told me i should have it in a few days. YAY Circuit City

Now that i have a new power supply unit on its way, anyone know how to open the power brick up? I wanna see if theirs something messed up in there
