I Need My Duke Controller For The 360
« on: November 23, 2005, 04:05:00 AM »

Who else is really starting to mis the xbox Duke controller now  that the 360 will not accept it:( ; the best FPS controller, imo.  With the 360 i'm forced to use the smaller controller, and not only is it smaller, the analog stricks are worse then the S controller, which is worse the the Duke's.

The Dukes analog sticks were perfect; perfect resistance, perfect neck length, perfect size.  The 360's analog sticks, on the other hand, are not loose enough, and the neck is too short.  This all combines in making me less accurate with it in FPS.

I loved the Duke xbox controller best for FPS, and am praying that it will some how be workable with the 360 in the near future.

i think the 360s sticks arent stiff enough, no where near as nice as the S, feels more like the horrible ps2 analogs

I'd love a 360-duke controller -- with shoulder buttons instead of black and white buttons, of course. I just like how it fits. I have no problem with the 360 controller though.  beerchug.gif

I agree totally.  A 360 Duke with shoulder buttons would be a god send.

Im a stickler when it comes to controllers. You couldnt pay me to use the S controller, but this 360 controller is by far the best Ive ever had the pleasure of using. I don't miss the Duke one bit. Hope you guys who dont like the new ones, get what youre asking for.

back to CoD 2!!  beerchug.gif

My advice: Be happy with what you have. I'm honestly sick of people complaining about this or that.  You may not like it at first, but you'll get used to it. Trust me, you will.

Duke controller is to oversized and way to big for my taste. It looks like the S controller on steroids.

I so agree dude and I have tiny hands.
Duke was shit for some games, but it rocked for racing games and FPS - I just like the feel of the thumbsticks on it - the length of them and the springback etc.

I too will miss the dukes, but in all honesty, I'm suprised with how well the 360's feel.  I don't like the S controllers very much, but somehow they managed to design these things to work pretty well.  Granted I would like the joysticks to be a LIL bit stiffer, but what can ya do?  I'm content with it.
