I Sent my xbox in a few weeks ago, it had a problem where it wouldent let me recover my xbox live account, or use a new one or anything. Sent it in, got one from them manufactured day sept. 06 and It broke the day I got it. I played gears for about 30 minutes before it froze and i restarted and played another 30 minutes without flaw. Turned it off, little while later cranked it up again froze when searching for a live game on gears, restarted it and it froze again and finally gave me the 3 rrod. Xbox is sending bad xbox 360's back out? Does this mean that I get my warranty extended for 3 years? My warranty expires feb 08 and Im worried I will get back another xbox that will crap the bed again.

Add another dead 360 to the list. I love my 360 but hate MS for making is so poorly! Grr

Anyways, well lol I have had 3 Xbox 360`s die on me. Well anyways first thing is my cousin got an Xbox 360 in Jan Of 06, anyways the MFG was 11-14-05. It worked fine for one week, then it starting freezing like hell, until it got unplayable. Anyways my cousin returned it to gamestop, and got another one. This one had the same MFG 11-14-05, and stopped working after 5 months. It would not read/load games or demos. Anyways it just sat there lol. Until like a few months ago when he sent into to M$, and got a new 360 with a MFG of 12-2-06. That one works fine. Now my story lol, anyways I got one at launch it was a Core with a MFG of 11-14-05, and it worked fine until 6 months. Then it got RROD, since it was modded I could not return/send it in. So I bought a console on this forum, this one had a MFG of 5-28-06. It broke in a week. Oh well, then I bought the New Arcade system, the MFG was 8-28-07. It worked fine for 2 days then it started freezing. Returned it and bought an Elite with a MFG of 9-02-07. And the Elite is working perfectly. So yeah thats my long boring story.

Hey I got an xbox 360 but like always gets the red ring of death (I like to call it that way)

It had no problems for two years but now its gettin the 3 ROD.

I sent it to get it repaired and after a month.... I played again but two weeks later it
got the same error code.

To me its too much playing so if you guys sit on your couch playing like 10 hours a day its
probably gonna happen.... So thats pretty much my story.

(My xbox 360 only got this code and it is 0102: Might be inside console problem and get the best repairs ASAP)

just a quick question i got the 3 red lights the 1-3-4
ive had my 360 for over a year and it worked fine until now
i got the hd dvd player a month ago. and now this, i was just wondering if alot of the ppl having this problem, had the hd dvd for the 360. just a thought maby this is the problem once installing the update for the hd dvd maby not.
but anyways been turning on here and there now i get the one red light e79 i think it is as well hahahahahahahaha
microsoft what a joke cant even build a working game system.
now just waiting for i guess u guys call it the coffin. ill report how long it takes

i remember that i one time sent in my xbox in and they sent 2 back i guess my old one and a new one but i also purchased there extended warrenty thats in that booklet. maybe thats why they sent to but i remember the "New" one had someone elses live account either way i was afraid of what happend so i called them. and they said i shouldnt have gotten 2 and they talked to a sup and talked to me and was supposed to send a box to send back but never did so i sold mine and then sold the other one off ebay some guy offered $900 but this was the first week they were out...... anyhow i got a fake check and never could find the guy!!! i still have his fake check. with a made up back ect. the bank even thought it was real untill it came back. i am still so pissed that i losed and an xbox 360 but i didnt pay for one so idk. but out of 3 i have owned only 1 has messed up and it just had some random green line in it when i would play a game or it would always freeze nfs most wanted. anyhow that was a 1.0 v. i personally have a falcom 3.0 or what not now and it works great and i sometimes on my days off play it 8hrs with friends if im extreamly bored. and never had a problem yet so i think most xbox consoles now are fine and by dec 08 they said no problems should exist. but what will there be next? xbox 720, xbox 3? PS4?

Just had a friend bring his 360 over to lan and his gets the error code E 74 and I've tried everything aside from opening to fix it but still no go So he is sending it in for repairs which is going to cost him $110 to get fixed which sounds really fucking stupid, on the other hand I have had 3 360's over the last 3 months and 1 got banned and 2 have died luckly I bought the extanded warrenty from EB or I'd be paying MS to fix a prolem they should have fixed before they sent out thier product.

just thought id let everyone know that my xbox 360 made it back to me today so since sending it i got it back in 4 days thats pretty great also it was not my xbox it is a
certified microsoft replacement Xbox 360 console

Im getting the E79 code, thing is i dont have a hard drive. I found this 360, and it was missing the disc tray and cables, and when me and my dad took it apart, we found that the entire drive was messed up, we got a new drive, swapped over the boards, started it up first time we got green lights, put in a game, and it didnt read it. And next time we started it up we got the E79, and then tried to clear it, and then got the 3 ring, and kept on switching back and forth. Please help me!

mine took a crap on me last week. been waiting since tuesday for its coffin. i wish for whoever rushed out the console knowing it was faulty would burn in hell. this isn't right as a consumer to buy something knowing it is going to fail soon. mine has been fine for about a year or so but i always knew it would happen someday. once i get it back im selling it for an elite. that was probably their plan all along lol.
