I guess all us first shipment buyers are Micro$oft's beta testers!

Here's a video of my crash (9MB - 20 seconds)

i haven't bought mine yet, and thanks to this, i'll wait til next update to buy one...(i have to, cuz every place is SOLD OUT or too expensive with bundles... Ebay was selling core systems (no bundles just core systems) for $1800.. the whole red lights and errors during games is making me rethink if i should not get a 360... should i wait? or take a chance and get one when an opening comes???

Starting at about 4 o'clock Mountain time my 360 quit reading games.  No error codes, and dashboard functions are still going.  Have yet to try old Xbox games.

I get the same screen that you get when you put a 360 game in a original Xbox when I put games into my 360.

Started with PGR3 and Kameo, then progressed to THAW, King Kong, Perfect Dark, and Madden.  Every one of them says I need to put it in a Xbox 360 to play it.  Already alerted Gamestop and they will have one midweek next week for me to replace it.

Anyone heard of this one?  I'll admit I didn't read the thread, just saw the link on the main page for reporting errors, so if someone else has, I apologize.

Hmmm I am now happy that Australia gets the 360 in March. Lol just today I was bitching about MS not giving us guys the 360 with my mate after School Exams. I looked on Xbox-Scene and I just smiled for the fact that Australia will possibly not be bombarded with defects.... I feel sorry for you guys though who have defects. I would be SO pissed. You buy a product and expect it to perform the way its meant to right? MS have REALLY run into the wall now. I hope Australia and Europe don't get defects like you poor buggers. Hopefully we get the 1.1's

i recieved the xbox that I won from befirsttoplay and it usually works perfectly but a couple times when i put in a game, instead of loading the game it showed the dvd thing on the disk "to play this disk, place it in an xbox 360 console", and with the bonus disk from perfect dark LE, it does that every time and wont load the disk at all, although it works on my friends 360 just fine

Its not your problem, I had the same.  Its whoever is hosting the vid.  Took forever here too.

Wow, MS has a BIG problem.  Well there wont be THAT many recalls considering the stock at launch. Maybe thats why they only put 20 machines in each store LOL.

i mean i have $571.34 right now, i want to buy a 360....but NO PLACE has them, then theres the 3/4 red lights and game crashes, and the "please put this in an xbox 360" game error, but its a chance i would be taking, but AAAARRRGGGHHH i cant decide its too hard i sold my xbox 1 for it (i would have sold my ps2 but i have guitar hero and its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy tooooo fun)
So with the errors, do i have all of them down?
-3/4 red blinky lights
-game crashes (especially in PGR3)
-system bootup crashes
-360's refusal to play 360 games (i.e the "please put this game in an xbox 360")
-that thing on the xboxscene homepage with the single letter next to some 2-digit number  and all these languages on screen and lines goin' thru it.
i dont wanna buy a $450.00($400+tax) door stop.
hopefully i have em all....i played PGR3 in gamestop and thats why i want a 360 SO bad......

Man this is kinda worrying. I'm from Aus and we don't have them yet (March) but im worried to hear all these problems. From the sounds of it, the DVD drives aren't reading the discs properly and seeing them as video DVD's and not games, and maybe heat or hardware issues.

Im worried cos i was gonna get one on launch night but they should be fine by march 2nd. I knew something would go wrong though, they were rushing it since day 1.

Good luck to all u guys with problems. Just keep on MSs ass and get it replaced, don't just leave it.

And as some1 else said...I feel a massive recall coming on!
