Ummm hello...Everyone is missing the biggest point in this argument. Wal-mart does not use FCC approved devices in their store. The interference is because their devices are not standard and they are wireless. Since they are not guaranteed to block incoming or outgoing interference, then they have the possibility of both recieving, which they are, and giving.  The system you are refering to are called the SMART systems at wal-mart. they are the only ones having problems.

Dude, EVERYTHING sold no matter if it's commercial or not has to follow FCC standards... the problem IS that there aren't really any FCC standards for 2.4ghz there are basically suggestions but it's an open frequency.

Yes this is all "speculation" but if we aren't allowed to speculate then what the fuck are we doing here as there is not many people that has FACTS about the 360 right now.

As for the ugliness of the USB hub... who's to say they wont make the official one flush mount with the front of the console? After all the ports are set far enough back and that would make sense as to why the USB ports are behind a door like that.

On another note wouldn't it be funny if MS only allowed a max of 2 wired controllers...  rolleyes.gif

u guys do realize MS spent tons of $$$ and time researching these wireless controllers and the hole setup, so i some how doubt a normal person with 2.4ghz router and phone is going to have issues. I gaurantee MS sat down and tested all the possible setups within a house. I'm sure the walmart thing happened because they never considered the normal place a XBOX360 would be played would be a walmart with tons of wireless scanners and what not.

I think its safe to say we'll be all set within our houses. As far as the 2 usb ports again a 10$ usb hub will solve these issues if its all that big of an issue to have a usb hub infront of the xbox360 u have some serious OCD issues. Considering you'd have wires and shit coming from the xbox360 what does it matter if theres a little 3x5inch rectangle or whatever size it is

if you can shell out almost $700 dollars for the premium plus a game plus 3 more controllers you can afford $10 to upgrade 1 controller to a wireless. For 2 wireless and 2 wired.

The Xbox 360 was designed to be wireless from the ground up.  The wired controllers are an option for those who cannot afford it or request them for whatever reason, just like the core package.  If you really need more than three USB ports, get a hub.  If you do not use the 360 as it was designed, you have to sacrifice form for functionality.

christ some people where are thick.

the battery lasts for 40 hours. who the fuck will play for 40 hours straight? if you do, you have problems.

and the fact that it gives you a warning when its got 4 hours to go is lots. take a break every now and then, and you will be fine.

and if you to stubborn to do that, get a usb hub that looks good (yes, they are made), and use that.
