I agree it's rather simple and they should have more ports... but there is one in the back so that is 3 and you CAN use regular batteries so you aren't completely fucked with NO possible way to make it work.

The solution is simple: kill one of your friends. There you go, you only need three controllers now (and there are three USB ports)!

MS has stated that you can use any old USB hub.. I'm sure they'll make an official one as well (just like the official ethernet cable)

Past that the batteries last for 40 hours and warn you when they are 4 hours away from dying. Meaning you have plenty of time to hook up your play and charge kit or to replace your batteries.

I honestly don't know how you can complain when both the PS3 and the Revolution give you NO WIRED OPTIONS AT ALL.

Sure the PS3 has 6 usb ports... but it's not like they have any controllers that can actually use them..

If you want to avoid wireless problems then use Wireless A for Wi-fi and 900MHz for your phone and the 2.4GHz will have nothing to compete with.

Not to mention they have a Wireless Adapter so it means they've tested and proved the two can live harmoniously.

Honestly the Only device I've ever had cause problems with other things is phones... Phones have messed up my Wireless Network, My Wireless Keyboard/Mouse, My GameCube Wavebirds Etc.  As soon as I dumped my xGhz cordless phones for 900Mhz models all of the problems vanished.

A little bit of research would save you a lot of aggravation.

You all just need to shove it.  My network, 802.11g, dones't mess with my phone, which is 2.4ghz.  They work together wonderfully.  Then I have another phone, guess what? its 2.4ghz.  And I have another one, its 4.8ghz, so there's no competition right there.  My Logitech mouse? Works with my Logitech controller just fine.

Oh and one more thing, MS said they tested the 360 with common household items to check for interference, and then picked a different range that none of them used.  Yes, I know it fucked up Walmart, but are those common household items?  umm no.

Plus, if it interferes with your wireless network, then just go with 802.11n.  I could use it if i wanted, but then my Mac wouldn't support it.

I think thejt is completely correct.

MS could have just put 4 ports in the front and been done.  It is hidden behind the plate anyway.  Would have cost them an extra $1/console

An ugly hub sitting in front of my sleek 360 is not what I want.

I'm not worried about the wireless issues, but honestly MS it would not have changed anything to add two more ports.  The most they would have to do is maybe have them horozontial rather than verticle.

Yeah, I dont want any usb hub sitting next to my 360.. theres enough crap surrounding my current xbox.  I think MS even said simplicity, less cluttered is better.. and now this  uhh.gif

Apparently some people dont have any issues with wireless controllers... I had 6 logitech wireless and I dont use but of them any more because there are just to many freaky thinks that happen for me when I get more than one running.  That and the fact that stuff gets so bad that I chuck them out into the street in a fit of rage when they are being funny so now I only have 3 working.

I understand things could just be great... and all of the reasons this could suck just wont be a problem but I highly doubt it.. but mainly like it was said before, why not just put four ports in front... then you KNOW you have a surefire way to play four player no matter what the circumstance!

My god some people find the stupidest things to bitch about.

How bout this, buy a god damn battery charger!! Get 12 batteries, you will have back up batteries for 2 controllers at a time. It'll cost you what? $20-$30? Get over it.

Who the hell sits around and plays 4 player split screen on a regular basis anyways? MS doesn't need to worry about that 0.1% of gamers.

You're right....it's just $30 bucks....I'm taking my $30 bucks from you asshole.

Get over it.

But I think those who play 4 player split screen on a daily basis is pretty much everyone with Halo 2 but don't have Live......which is actually the majority of gamers.

I agree it's a small margin of players.. but given as simple as it would be for MS to solve it that does suck for them.. I'm lucky to have 2 players going myself but I still think it's crap and support their complaint.

I also don't use wireless stuff (my phone is 900mhz) but I support the argument that this could cause problems... it is FACT that this stuff (2.4ghz stuff) causes interference with stuff... from Microwaves killing wifi to messing with cell phones and various other stuff.. the walmart stuff is just a bad omen and get over it if you don't have problems you aren't the whole world and I think ANY scientific study doesn't go "oh it works for you, ok that's solved" so if you don't have like 100 examples of it being interference free then you can't tell people to stop worring/bitching as it's a valid concern.

the oposite argument works just as well.. you can't say there is a wholesale problem when all you have is a couple of cases regarding industrial machines... has anyone had any issues WITHIN the home yet? Somehow I doubt it.

I agree.. but does that mean we stop voicing our concerns?  I KNOW of wifi that "breaks" due to other items in the house being used so it is a viable issue.
