Confirmed: Xbox 360 Has No External Screws.

It'll pretty much be just like opening an iPod (after-all it looks like MS went dumpster-diving in Apple's trashcan of reject designs). I wouldn't be one bit surprised if the same tool that’s mainly used to open an iPod without marring it ends up being used en mass to open the 360. Plus on top of that it shouldn't take much more than a month or two for a mod to surface. At least that’s what I'm hoping since I'll buy a 360 the day a viable mod is released. It's just not as much fun if you can't play with the hardware you bought (they can say they leased the hardware/software to me all they want in the EULA, but when money exchanges hands and there’s no set date it has to be returned I OWN IT!!!).

the best thing to stop modders is to give them what they want.

Xbox 360 has no screws???

Ok. That is the proof of Xbox360 is modable.

Because M$ thinks that if modders open it they can easily mod it. So let's design it screw-free.

Who cares how they opened it... There is no point whatsover in opening the console, until a mod of some sort is released for it.

MS would love you.  If everybody had that train of thought then no mod would ever be created since no one would be opening their console.

Wait, maybe we can mod it through the case with osmosis

It is obviously going to be pretty easy to open it... For those that are actually interested in figuring out a mod for it, they will figure it out.

Most of the people on here that are talking about how to open it, aren't going to do anything once they have. They will open it, look at it for a few minutes, then close it again and not open it up until some sort of mod is available.

Im opening that bitch on day one....and case mod the shit outta that thing.  Jet black case...two big ass windows...and as many red LED's as I can stuff into that pig.  Why.......because I can.  You can sit on your stock xbox until you can get a mod, I simply don’t have that kinda patience.

I'm not getting an XBOX360, at least not until a year or more into it's life cycle. There are hardly any games that are interesting to me, and especially none that make a purchase of $400 for the console worth it to me.

Even if a mod(whether softmod or a chip) is released quickly, I still won't get one right off, since my xbox currently does everything that I want at the moment.

I'll eventually get one, but not until there are a lot of games released for it, and the price has gone down. From everything I have read, gameplay is exactly the same, just with better graphics(and it seems it isn't such a huge improvment with most launch games), so spending $400 on it isn't worth it yet.

I love how people complain about $400. 1 piece of hardware for your computer(video card) will run you more than that if ur trying to match the 360 specs and that still leaves you with needing a processor, motherboard, memory, hdd etc.......
Then how long till that pc is outa date, 1 year or so? i understand a pc has more capabilities but most of those capabilities you dont need a $400 + vid card for. The lifespan of a console can be 5 years or so. anyways in my opinion if your a gamer and you buy a 360 its $400 well spent.
