He said he wouldn't miss it, nothing more nothing less.

I will, though. You probably use the analog pressure tech and don't even know it. Maybe the reason why you 'feel like you can control the speed of your punches' so well is because you actually are.
That's how I felt when throwing grenades in socom2. You press the x button an add pressure to throw further or release pressure to throw close. The grenade throwing would blow if, to throw a grenade further, you had to aim your screen higher like in other shooters. I hate that.

You are correct that is all he said, my point was we should all stick together and demand a higher standard is all... that's why I said I couldn't give a shit about a football game but I would never go around telling that in a pro football forum, it's just bound to stir up shit.

Also, he wasn't the only one voicing this opinion.

Have you ever played a racing game and just cruised along the street at a certain speed? Well, you won't be able to do that anymore because it's either 'accelerate' or 'stop accelerating and decellerate'. The only way to keep a speed would be to tap the button.

wink.gif  Sure I drive in a video game like I stole it, but I still use analog because even if I stole a car in real life it wouldn't be ON/OFF rolleyes.gif

If it is because 'certain buttons can still be analog', then they would also make the triggers analog because they work essentially as analog. Without them being analog, there is no reason for them to still stick out so much. (I know the triggers don't stick out just because they are analog, but if they are digital, having them stick out is useless because there is only one contact point).

btw, it's not the wireless bandwidth because it's all encoded into one signal... the original controllers did it on 3 wires essentially.  I would rather lose the wireless headset then analog buttons (that was just the point of it not being bandwidth... you guys can have your wireless headsets rolleyes.gif )

Oh well.  It was sort of cool.  Can't see why they did this though.

this wont work for the triggers, but why not just use timing for each button, so if you hold the button a bit longer, its as if you pushed it hard, but if you tap the button, its as if you pushed it softly... digital can handle this....

Sorry, thought the Ps2 had digital buttons.  My bad guys.

Gentlemen, do you realise that we have spent the past 2 days arguing over something which we could have slved with a simple check on www.xbox.com?

We have been told off by a n00b.
We have been pwned... by a n00b.

Thank you Smiley.

My uncle that loves racing games chose not to get a xbox for this same reason cause his job requires his hands to be in good shape so he cant afford to fuck them up (it hurt his too). PGR (so was gran tourismo) was unplayable for me until i found out i can use the shoulder buttons instead, ive  never used anything else since.
ANAL-logue buttons suck, they never made gaming any eaier and i can definitely do without them.
