Are you serious?

Have you even read this whole thread?  The kid said that he got the picture from a friend, he never claimed to own the dev kit.

Plus...if you dremel BLACK plastic...you get BLACK shavings...if you dremel the XBOX you get GREEN shavings.

Wow...at least attempt to read through everyone's posts then think for a few minutes, then if you still have a comment post.

everyone saying the original xbox is green just give it up already. its BLACK. to make something black you have to use all colors and guess what green is in that mix of all colors. so just because your eyes pick up the green more than someone elses does not make the xbox green. it IS black bottom line.

well the color black is the absence of color, but to get the color black on a material, you have to mix the primary pigment colors, so mabye that's what he is thinking.

Why is everyone saying how "ugly" or how "cool" it looks and how they would never want one etc etc? It's a dev kit. D E V E L O P M E N T Kit. I doubt one person in this thread will ever own one (myself included), and if this is the first time you've seen the 360 design (albeit a little modified), have you been living under a rock?

Personally I don't even know why they bother to make the dev kits look like the final console at all, I can understand it with debug machines because magazines and such use them for preview code.

Its a real photo.I first saw this pic at http://assemblergames.com/forums/.And Keva wasn't the first one to find this pic.And I guess alot of you have no
idea about dev consoles. And dev conoles are not designed to look pretty.
Just look and the PS3 Dev Kit.

Just to settle this dispute over the xbox colour.
It changes with version.

The cases actually changed dimensions and colour over the years.
The original v1.0 was a very dark olive green in natural light.
Then about v1.3 it turned into balck case with dark olive green shining parts.
I don't know about v1.4+.

There, that's it. Done.
