For those of you too lazy to have read the countless pinned topics...

YES I quoted myself... I should have to repeat myself but I don't understand why the issue of a wired controller is still under debate...  blink.gif

THERE IS A WIRED VERSION OF THE XBOX360 CONTROLLER...
IT IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CONTROLLER THAN THE WIRELESS ONE...
IT WILL BE AVAILABLE AT LAUNCH...

I'm gone for a week and a half in BFE FL. with no comp, xbox, or any luxories and I come back to this. I have to say congrats to Keva who posted the pic and getting recognized by GameSpot. Even if it was "discovered" days before Keva was the first to post it. It seems alot of people don't read the whole thread before they post. Even if it's seven pages of posts you have time to type the rebutals, so read the thread it wouldn't hurt but only help the horrible spelling of those people.

BTW the writing on the white box says "XDK" (Xbox Development Kit, as if you didn't know), not Xbox. I'm surprised no ones noticed that unless I accidentally skipped a post reading this thread.

They will likely release it in colours, but only in limited batches.  This way, they end up squeezing more money out of consumers by making them higher priced.  Nintendo releases all colours and takes more of a loss because of this.  Plus, the beta kit/dev kit colours almost always make it to market.  Ie translucent green XBOX and Crystal Kit.

I'm not sure I understand, bucko.  You're saying the final controller will not be white?

They most definitely will be white.  The reason they use teh same controllers for the dev kit / betas is because they don't need any special function from the controller, just from the system itself.  Plus testing with a stock controller is the only way to ensure most thorough bug testing.

Andy51, that is 99% likely to be a devkit/beta kit.

1)  It wouldn't be a prototype because no one would design an XBOX in one solid colour with a big bulge hanging out its side.

2)  It is next to another development kit, which makes the image a little more credible that someone has acess to all these things.

3)  Don't spoil our dreams, it's a beta kit okay!!!!
