No Xbox Controller Support For 360

The answer seems to be no, at least currently. Interviewed in the latest issue of Famitsu Xbox, MS Product Development Limited Xbox Chief Shinichi Manaka reveals that MS won't offer a USB converter to let players use their current controllers on the 360.
We presume 3rd party peripheral developers will come to the rescue here.

Am I missing something here? Doesn't this product all ready exist? So are we to believe that the xbox 360 will have some mystical, magical USB port that wont allow standard usb devices, or will M$ make it so that the 360 wont accept the xbox's joysticks on purpose?
