I am surprised no one has mentioned the article on the new virtual reality peripheral that may soon be out.  Now I know that it is not only for XBox but any video output, but I believe that's damn cool.
Damn cool.
I mean true virtual, move your head move the gun sight, reality.
I am also surprised that this has not happened sooner in the mainstream gaming industry (please don't bring up the VirtualBoy if you're old enough to remember it, stupid red and black screen and huge goggles).

I have searched around the net and found not even a possible release date or price.  Any info, anyone?

Yeah, I also read an article about this. The VR unit was actually revealed at E3 behind closed doors. The picture quality on this this is supposed to be great and it;s supposed to support HD inputs. I'll see if I can find something.

Aha! I have found the year it's supposed to release!

In the year 3001.... Which is....1996 years from now on...

Men! to the freezing chambers! Set the date to 3001 for us to spawn!

3001 AD is the GAMING DEVELOPER, not the year of release. And one day it will catch one eventually. It has in Japan.

You know, I went to Dave and Buster’s last night, there's like only one in Canada, food is good, so basically I went to play some games to win some tickets to get something, which I won around 1700 tickets, half of those tickets I found around the place, I got a glass chess set, but I don't give a shit, and you probably don't give a shit too, they had this Virtual Reality thing, you are playing some kind of a tank game with Play station/Nintendo 64 graphics, man I played it but I don't see me playing Virtual Reality games like I do with games of today I can tell you that Virtual Reality won't be big for another 15 or 20 years or so.

They had this fun game, it wasn't exactly Virtual Reality, but you know Time Crisis? The arcade game with those plastic guns? They had this game that was like Time Crisis but had Sub-machines guns for shooting the baddies, using the SMG was easy, a trigger button, a action button, and a switch for One shot, 3 Shots and Full Automatic, wasn't exactly Halo 2 graphics, but I had more fun playing that game than Halo 2.

I really do want that arcade game I played... mad.gif

Was there Virtual Reality on Nintendo 64??
Link

I'm not going to put the image up, because it is way too huge

Yeah, It was beachhead 2002 or whatever, pretty shitty game anyways.

The "fun" arcade game I had fun with, I don't have a clue to know what the name of the game is, it didn't have those pedals to duck from the enemy, also it had two sub-machines guns with two handles to hold the gun, one for the trigger, and one at the front where there is a action button, oh yes, because of two sub-machines guns, you could play two players. In the game there were 3 missions, you could choose and there was the 2nd mission where you are aboard a plane to rescue the president of the United States, kind of like Air Force One, the "movie."

P.S. I'm not too sure about the pedals, I might not have noticed them... unsure.gif
It was at Dave and Buster's, does it have a website?

"done right"
would be not movement tracking but movement via brain signal
you put a helmet of some sort on and think move forward and you do...
thats how they will have to do it...other wise you will need a padded room
