Why the fuck would you want backwards compatability if it is going to cost more? I already own 6 xbox's, Im pretty sure Im set and dont need to play xbox games on my new beastly 360.

I'm fairly certain that BC would be hardware level royalty since it's being emulated at the chip level by the ATI GPU. The emulation "profiles" so to speak will simply tweak the emulators settings for a particular title.
