whats type of account are you trying to use?
if using outlook go to tools, email accounts and then select "view/change existing account" if the type says pop/smtp then fine you can proceed, select change and in the "server information" make note of the "incoming (pop3) server"
this is the server addrss you need to put in
You do realise this is for only checking mail, not replying hence not the need for the smtp server.
if you don't have outlook or don't have a pop3 account (e.g. hotmail isn't pop3) then you can't use this.
examples of pop3 accounts, yahoo.co.uk, yahoo.com, most ISP email accounts, most university accounts etc.
