I am with chancer, I have done many xboxs and have never seen a 1.5...

one word LFRAME

a 1.4 xbox dosn't have the lframe connected at the lpc. So it is alot more dificult to use a straitup cheapmod...

other than that, the 1.4 is probably better simply because the hardware is newer. I have seen a lot of 1.0s die recently...

1.1's have older kernels which are more easy to exploit if you're into softmods.

1.1's have 1MB TSOP's so you can split the TSOP up to 4 ways if you want to, while 1.4 only has 256k TSOP's.

IIRC, 1.1's have pre-soldered LPC holes, so you can just heat them up and stick the wires in if you're doing a modchip.

Too many xbox's

1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 - uhm dunno about a 1.5 coz I just tsop'd most of my later xbox's - so wouldn't know If I had the 3.3v & Ground missing of lpc
oh yeah August 1.6 Crystals - think they are samsung mem chips 1 with duo-x-2 & other soft modded

don't think I got a 1.7 - ergh 1.6b - ergh hynix mem chips or what ever they are calling them this week

I have a version 1.0 with a xodus chip. The best xbox I have ever used and will use for until it cant play no more.

I got a v1.1 and its been through a TSOP mod, fried PSU, lifted trace, but now it runs fine with an old X2.3 PRO. LOL
