Audio Quality
« on: May 28, 2004, 02:05:00 PM »

Is it just me or is the audio quality on xbmc not that great? Btw I am streaming 192kbit mp3s and movies from my pc using ccxgui... Any ideas? I streamed the same mp3s on xmbp w/ relax and it sounded better...  <

I think its you...

first both streaming programs create the same final result... its sending digital data... if a packet does not pass crc check it will be discarded and resent.

Ive been nothing but happy with my audio output... both with digital output and analogue (besides teh AC3 -> analog )  <

by default the sound in XBMC is not set on high quality. You have to enable it in options. That got me too.  <
