Okay I have my files shared on my PC, I have the xml file in XMBC edited and it works in XMBC. When I goto SMB it works fine I can open my shared folders, but there is one thing that is wrong. My movies folder looks something like this:

or if that makes no sense.. in my movie folder I have a bunch more folders with each movies name, in the named folder there is the file to play the movie.
This works fine. I have my movies folder shared and everything below it works fine.

But my mp3 folder which is setup very similarly, is called mp3s, you open it to revel the band names and in each band folder you have the mp3 files. this seems to be the exact same file structure but when i open it in SMB I can get into Mp3s and into the band folders but once in the band folders there are no mp3 files, and if i play the playlist that is in the mp3 folder with the rest of the folders it plays fine.
what is wrong here?
