every hd has a unique code that goes links it's mobo with the hd.  therefore you would have to unlock the working hd in the first modded box, then put it in yours and it should work.  you could then lock it back using configmagic.

I now have a fucked up xbox. I used configmagic to unlock new HD but it still won't boot up in old noisy xbox. Without thinking I then ran configmagic on old noisy drive and now it won't lock and I can't get anything working in Enigmah-modded box.

Am I beyond hope...is there anything I can do to restore the old drive to working condition? Why won't the newer unlocked drive work in the older XBOX. Do I have to ftp all the old backup files onto it first?

Your guidance would be most appreciated o' sagely xbox wizards.
