Needed- Xml Explained In Detail

Mainly there are several areas in the XBMC xml file that leave me clueless.

It would be sweet if someone would post a line by line description of what the settings mean in plain English for those of us who are code blockheads.

If this has already been done please accept my apologies and point me towards this document.
