This build (5-21-04) doestn't show SRT subtitles with my XVID movies anymore.
What's wrong?

they default to off in this release to match how dvd's normally behave. we might change this at a later date.

I have the same prob here...subs don't work anymore.
And there is not a option to enable them.
Back to old version again I quess <_<

You can enable subtitles in the OS-Display.
Not very convenient, though, as it seems to be impossible to permanently switch subs on. Would be a nice feature in the settings-menu.

By the way, it might have been asked before, but still: how would I have to name a second subtitle stream to choose from?

Work fine for me, both srt, and vobsubs. "Title" button on remote toggles them off and on. Couldn't work slicker..

Yeah I guess that's true.

One problem I have noticed with them defaulting to "off" is when you have a stacked movie across 2 or more files, when mplayer starts the second file, the subs go off. So you end up toggling them back on at the start of each file. This is slightly annoying.

Go into the keymapping xml file and assign something to the show/hide subtitles button.  I just went ahead and used the black button since how often do I need to see the codec info?

Ok so is anyone else having problems geting .srt subs to work on ogm files?  I have gotten .sub files to work on some .avi's but thats it.
