Choppy Video Problems

About 80% of the time whenever I play something in XBMC the video is choppy. By choppy I mean the video is about 10fps, the audio desyncs, and sometimes XBMC crashes. Dropped frames usually goes up at about .5fps and early/late frames usually goes up at about 5fps. Here's the weird part, this only happens SOMETIMES, even with the same files! I get the same thing both streaming(SMB) and playing off of the HD.

Setup:
Xbox v1.4/1.5
Xecuter 2.3b Lite
X2.4983 BIOS
xbmc-2004-05-18 (located on C:, 276mb free)

HQ audio resampling was on for "Audio and Video", which is now apparently under "Experts only!". So if you have this problem, turn that off.  <
