@ GRIM or whoever can help.

i've done the 12v mod on my falcon board. i want to put in a potentiometer so i have the ability to reduce the fan speed. i'm hoping someone could provide a good schematic (diagram) to show me the to and from wiring for this, or at least the reference designations. also, a recommendation for the pot size and rating. thanks in advance for any help.

great tutorial by the way.

If you plan to use a potentiometer to manually adjust the fan speed here is one
that is close to the right strength and here is how it should be used.

Hi,

I didn't read the tutorial all the way through and went ahead with the mod.
My motherboard is a falcon, so i followed these diagrams http://i12.photobuck...3b12vfanmod.jpg and http://i12.photobuck...v312vfanmod.jpg

I did both and secured them with hot glue.
I have just noticed that only one of them is suppose to be done.
My question is, is it alright to leave both on? or should i take one of them off?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you Grim187.  You da man.  I bought a 360 on CL just so I could use it for Netflix and Watching videos in my bedroom and kept getting the 0011 overheating as soon as I would power it on.  I did the xclamp replacement and same thing.  I cut the CPU Temp Trace wire and it works fine now.  Since It cant read the temp I went ahead and followed your tut and it works great now.  $25 Xbox360 Falcon with a good BenQ drive fully operational.  Even thinking of dual booting it too.  lol.
