After The Case Mod, Noise!

Compared my 360 to a mates, and mine is really loud now! I mean, I can hear it in the Bedroom, its that loud, so what can I do about it?

Should I shove the metal top back on the DVD Drive or is it simply gonna be this loud all the time?

Anyone know if you could use some of that noise padding stuff they use in speakers, to help?  Like put a layer of it around the DVD drive or something.
