« on: May 10, 2004, 11:36:00 PM »

I just started using XBMC and i think it's grate, but i have a question...
I'm sharing some videos and mp3's from my harddrive and when i tried it for the first time last nigth only the .avi and Mp3 files worked, but not the .Xvid files.
Any1 got any good ideas??

Which CVS build are you using?

Is your network wired or wireless?

In the mplayer folder a readme file says:

please download the win32 codecs from one of the following urls:

http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/
http://www2.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/
http://ftp3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/
ftp://ftp1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/
ftp://ftp2.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/
ftp://ftp3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/

and install the following into this directory (and on your xbox)

atrc3260.dll
cook3260.dll
drv23260.dll
drv33260.dll
drv43260.dll
sipr3260.dll
wmadmod.dll
wmsdmod.dll
wmvdmod.dll

: After I did this I was able to play mov, wmv, and some other files I had had trouble with before.  <

rename from .xvid to .avi (or add .xvid| to your media extentions)  <
