Clean the flux from the soldering/de soldering up with a bit of rubbing alcohol/methalated spirts and repost the picks once you have cleaned the board so i can see them better. Or email me. PM for my add

That looks pretty bad I must say.

The best option for you is to do the following:  Solder a new pin header upside down (ie: place it in the holes so that the platic is on top.  Solder one of the pins so that you can align the header so that it is straight up.  Then solder the pins from BOTH sides.  Make sure you hold the iron long enough for the solder to flow through.  The problem is that if you damaged the through-plating, it may not conduct from top side to bottom side, so you'll need solder on both side to fix that.

Once you have the pin header soldered properly, remove the plastic, and you'll have perfectly centered pins sticking out of the board.

You'll loose rigidity this way, but as long as you don't keep applying/removing the modchip to the pins, it should hold OK.

For the future, the best way to remove a pin header is to gently slide off the plastic case, apply extra solder to the back (for better heat distribution) and remove it PIN-BY-PIN (use pliers!!!).  Then when you have the pins removed, add more solder (for heat distribution again), and suck out the empty holes.

The trick of applying extra solder before removing it seems counter intuitive, but it allows better heat transfer and will help melt all the solder, so that it will come out easier.

Good luck!

i bet it wouldn't look that bad if you cleaned up the resin/flux first. do that and take more pics since it's hard to see some spots correctly.

There is definately a lot of flux, but some of the holes look like they are warped.  The pads are very small (outer diameter) so there is not much support for them when they get tugged on.  I recommend that after you clean it and solder a new connector, you check the continuity of all the traces from the pins (top and bottom).

ok ill get on the rubbing alcohol. any other ways to remove the flux? also what should i do to prep the area BEFORE resoldering a pin header?  i hear things about using flux by itself before soldering to clean out stuff but am not really sure how that is supposed to work. ive been looking for general flux application help but have not found anything

Acetone works great for cleaning up the flux as well. (think fingernail polish remover.)

flux helps the solder flow better & helps it stick to new metal. I use a liquid flux that is in a drop dispenser bottle. I don't use flux on the lpc holes though. Especialy since there has already been solder in those holes, you should have no trouble flowing new solder in.

Doesn't look too fried. Have you tried taking a multimeter to it? just double check the traces for conductivity.

Check the LPC diagrams in the tutorial section
and check for connectivity between all the lpc points.
Then you'll know what points need to get fixed.

try to get a resister that has long leads on it  then put an aligator clip close to the resister as you solder the ends  the aligator clip will act as a heat sink

then tape it so it dosent fry anything
