anyone has the same prob I have had.....in xbmc I can only play one file be it a mp3 or a video file when I go to the next track or try to play the next video it is highlighted but doesn't play.  <

05-09 seems to be quite buggy. I had several problems with it including white screen on video settings, remote failure during video play, streaming video problems, skin darkness.

I was using CVS 05-01 so I went back to that one as it works great but doesn't have some of the fixes like the TV streaming and hide file extentions option. But I go for stability first and features second.  <

I dont know if i should laugh or cry.

There is a feature freeze on xbmc untill v1.0 is out.

Only bug fixes being done right now so you only get MORE stabilaty with each build.

One thing that has changed (200404029) was that mplayer.dll was updated to rc4 (release candidate 4). This update wasn´t 100% smooth and we are aware of this...

You can try to use the mplayer.dll from the 0501 you had, but the only "new" bug is the whitescreen in videosettings. (devs are fixing it)

All the other problems none of us in the team have encountered. (some vcd files played choppy/jerky, but that to should been fixed)  <

Yeah 0509 is terrible. I ended up going back to 0419. I had choppy playback on my xvid .avi files, although I was able to correct that by replacing mplayer.dll with the 0419 version. It seems to lock/hang quite frequently, and seems to be very slow accessing SMB shares.  <

Yes, I am also getting very choppy Samba shares, seem much slower - how can this be?   <

I experienced most of those problems in 5 minutes as well.  Went back to the last Proper build.  Maybe someone just got the wrong segments of CVS code.  <

Isn't the option to hide extensions a new feature?

I noticed the choppy playback on xvid avi after I had pressed several remote buttons, the numerical ones, then suddenly I lost response to remote and video became jerky.

The dark skin I noticed was the included Project Mayham. The background was very dark. The text and icons were ok I think, although they could have been a bit dark also. I have used PM for a short time the other day so I knew it was much darker than it should have been.

I did like the TV streaming that was working nicely but will forego that until the next incremental build that becomes more stable.

Just throwing it out,
Same trouble as others. Went from 0419 (ran great) to the latest and UGH what a mess. Choppy playback on samba shares. sometimes the video will just freeze solid?
Went back to 0419 and everything works great.

Have to say that I havn't had any SAMBA sharing probs on my CVS build. Everything ran great for me.

DVD's now play great, and they look fantastic when up-converted to 720p on my HDTV.

Only prob I have is when I'm in 720p mode I can't see any text in the settings panels, but when I go back to 480p they come back...weird.  <

I had the same problem with the project mayhem, it seems pretty shafted, so I deleted it and inserted the one form the previous build and it works fine.

I'm not convinced by ChokeManiac's program menu animation, shame he took out the highlited, 'electricity' type animation off the menu titles - just my opinion tho! Oh well - keep up the good work, it's a great skin.
