Yea, basically to get you moving if your led flashes green once then red/off with no audio or video you have a corrupted eeprom..  You NEED a modchip to fix this (borrowing one is enough..)..  You will also need either a programmer, or another xbox to flash an eeprom embedded bios  onto the chip..  If you can borrow an xbox with a solderless chip you should be set..  As for specific instructions, they've been outlined dozens of times in this forum..
BTW, if you don't have an eeprom backup you will 99% guaranteed need a new hdd..:(

Its a rather rare error, but can occur fairly randomly..  I've seen it in unmodded boxes, perhaps due to a bad MS write or static..  Also beware any new apps that tinker with your eeprom..  Its safer to wait until any bugs are found if they exist..  Regardless, you'll need to fix it with a modchip unless you are capable of writing a 24c02 or compatible serial eeprom manually..
What do you have to work with what is your setup?

Hey guys, I just ran into the same problem.

I have Aladdin Live Plus and my X-Box is version 1.6. I installed the modchip, but may have had some lose soldering points. But it was working fine for about two months. Then yesterday, was playing the genises emulator (xdgen I think) and was pushing all the buttons on the control to soft-reset it. Then the TV went black. I tried restarting the XBOX and it will flash green for a split second and then keep flashing red. No video or audio at all. I still have the Xbox hardrive and didn’t do anything to that. I installed that, same problem. I unplugged the modchip from the pinheaders, still same problem.

I redid all the solder points and they are strong and secure. Still same problem. You guys think it’s the eeprom (is this the bios on the xbox motherboard?)? I have a friend who has a solderless modded xbox and he was the one who installed Avalanche dashboard on it. Can I fix the eeprom through his? If so, can anyone give me a link to the procedure?

 Thank you

Outlined dozens of times.
I couldn't find the post (sorry). Can you send a link on how to fix the eeprom using another Xbox with a solderless chip?

Thanks for your patience.
