The HDD is the thing on the left...

we'll have to plug it in the slot at the base of the Xox360

Durability has nothing to do with size, just the brand and HD model in question.

thats a dumb thing to say... theres a difference between portable storage and a portable music player that happens to store it on an hdd. If i was to give a similarly dumb statemant: xbox's have hdds and no one carries them around in their pockets... but w/e

but if you're going to walk around with an xbox360 hard disk drive in your pocket, i only hope that i see you one day and can say something like: "is that an 2.5" Hdd in your pocket or are you just happy to see me."

i look forward to it

and just where do you plan on stuffing a 3.5 inch HD? you think there is alot of extra space just floating around in the 360? there is a reason that its side mounted and not in the case.. its because it gets hella hot in that cramped ass space.. with 3 cores chugging along AND an r500 series with AA/AF on.. its gonna be a steamer. besides.. the new perpendicular recording is going to get us up to some extremely high capacities as we currently have storage.. it almost doubled the notbook HD, with 200 and 250gb models probably on the way.. say hello to TB HDs

And I don't really care about looks either. Just have some small case to PROTECT my external HDD rather than to look good.
