Can anyone tell me if the skins are the same for XBMC and XBMP?

looking at allxboxskins.com they look the same to me. <

Nope not the same sorry, xbmc has completely different coding for their GUI

I agree, I wish there was more skins for the media center but in my opinion its way to damn hard to skin xbmc thats why you dont see many skins for media center...maybe someone will come out with a skinning proggie for xbmc

huh? project mayhem, black blue (two versions) and the the "dell" media center ones are all pretty good- skinning engine has changed again so those about the the only 4 that work 100% at the mo- but there's only so many skins that you need <

Project Mayhem is a wicked skin..Use it!!

I also liked the old media center edition skin - the rip off of the windows MCE skin.
I thought the revised version was better than the original as well. Excellent skins. Ive got a bit bored of the latest Dell ripped one coz it looks a bit garish and isnt as subtile as the Project Mayhem one.

Hard to skin for xbmc and not for xbmp?

xbmc is if anything easier for skinners to work on as they can switch skins in realtime and save them much work time instead of waiting for reboot when testing.... <

One new skin will be out by the end of the week

I need to finish all the setings xml files and a few other ones

hopefully, another one by the 16 (contest deadline)
the prototype is comleted, just gotta splice everything and create the XML files. Should be a lot faster, since it will be the second one <

i plan to enter 2 skins as a matter of fact

i am very surprised by the lack of activity in that contest. I'd expect people to post skins they have completed, but besdies Leonardo's BlackBlue, i haven't seen anything <
