Burning Xgd3 With A Macbook
« on: November 18, 2011, 01:29:00 PM »

I haven't had much time for following the scene for a while so i'm just trying to catch up really.

I have a fat Xbox (Liteon drive) which i'm going to update to Lt 2.0 this weekend. I've been using my Macbook to burn games up until now but from what I understand with XGD3 backups, as they're bigger, i'll need an iHAS burner to burn proper XGD3 backups which are safe(ish) to play on LIVE.

I don't use Xbox LIVE anymore and don't think I ever will again, would it be possible to just truncate the XGD3 games and then burn them as before using my macbook's built in DVD drive? Or would that just leave me with a bunch of coasters?

As I said I'm really not fussed about Xbox LIVE, i'm just looking for a way to play the current games without splashing out any cash on extra DVD burners, currently a very skint student.

THANKS! smile.gif
