I have an older Falcon model that has not been on since yesterday morning. After hearing this news i tried to switch out my liteon with a samsung. Got on live today and no ap25 work at all. Both original and backups don't work. Im not getting the "unsupported error" instead im getting "dirty disk error". I checked my secdata is clean. I can see backups not working but why the originals? Anyone else tried this?

the console has to come with a drive that cant do ap2.5 for a samsung to work.  swapping a liteon for a samsung wont work since the console expects to able able to read the ap2.5 data from the disc.

So by using RGH to get the nand and keys, can the OSIG be modified to tell the console that it originally came with a samsung drive?

.however my other games still work....Battlefield 3....Skyrim.....Saint's Row....Driver......only NFS doesn't work....so what does THAT mean?  I have a slim with a 0225 LiteOn with LT+ 2.0.....

Skyrim got a strange behavior for me though, the game quests stuck and if I start a new game Rodolf does not speak, no one speaks  blink.gif WTF

Hey!
Thanks for all the info.
Is it considered as safe to play original AP2.5 and XGD3 on a flashed LT+2.0 Phat Benq?
Can I play originals Ap2.5 and XGD3 on live without getting flagged?

Thanks!

Regards

under no circumstances should anybody log into xbox live, and if you have auto login for your live account change it instantly, all mine log into off line accounts so there can be no accidental updates.

the experts are dealing with it, just give them the respect and time they deserve. biggrin.gif

The people that have problems and read error's did you burn the games with the new burner FW and verify the burn? Or where they burned on DVD's with the last 6 to 8% missing?

I was playing Skyrim yesterday and had no problems had some issues with frame-rate that looked like the disk was dirty and had a rough time loading the level and since the news I haven't tried to play because I'm scared....

from what i have read on xbox hacker no, if i remember correctly its stored in the keyvault on the nand and that cant be tampered with.

Whatever dude , life will go on and another hack will come out , that is the fun in this hobby.

Exactly, modding/hacking and such wouldn't be fun if there wasn't a challenge.  I agree, it sucks that MS does stuff like this, but in the event we had to reflash with a new firmware (I know thats not the case), I wouldnt mind.  I personally enjoy working on Xboxs very much.  It's all part of the game.

I do not understand why, if we rip a retail XGD3 backup using the 0800 firmware, and then burn with LT Burner Max, why would that disk still fail current AP2.5 checks?  It's not like the AP2.5 data on the physical disc changes every other week..  I plan on buying the Halo Anniversary remake today, if I buy that game it will have the same AP2.5 replay data on it 1 year from now.  I could be missing something or not understanding something correctly though...

Is spoofing a sammy to liteon safe?

I was about to buy a drive that can support burner max. So im still good. Dunno what to do now. Seems they got it right this time.

Wont work

System is expecting a drive that does AP25 to be in there.

Is there a way to uninstall the silent update so that I can at least play the affected backups off-line?
