Strangely enough, I have been on Live for the past few days throughout all this and haven't been affected...

Looky looky.  There is a new NFS The Run PAL TU for download.  Try it out and let us know!  And its not that bad!

Ok I can confirm NFS: The Run is working using the new Need for Speed The Run TU PAL download dated 19/11/11

Thanks to Prophet for pointing out that the new one had been released.

Anyway to check if you have the new dae.bin?
I haven't been online since Wednesday night so from the eta's thrown around, I'm most likely safe.
Don't care about live as my gold expired last week anyway.

Run an Xval and see if you can boot AP25/XGD3 games.

I've been off Live since Tuesday last week- all games boot fine so I don't have the updated dae.bin. Anyone care to advise me on what I should do? I was planning on just staying off Live but with the new fw announced figured it might be worth a shot to see what happens. Anyone use the TU workaround on a console whose dae.bin WASN'T updated?

Correct me if I'm wrong but if I did have the new dae.bin, wouldn't running one of those games flag me?

I have my normal 360 on Live where I played last week some games.
These are retail and so no problems.

This weekend I decided to test my offline one but I use same HDD so I probably took the DAE with it?
It recognizes all disks but when trying to install to HDD it stops after X % giving an error on disk.
Same when playing, they start but after some time I get error.
Is this another problem than the DAE.bin as I do NOT get unsupported disk?
Anyway if I take a XDG3 game that was installed in the past, it works without a problem.

I tied the horizon method for all games but still no go for not installed ones. Maybe bad copies but tried on third console and there they install ...

Thanks for thoughts /solutions and otherwise we will wait 4 LT3.0

Correct.

I'll stick to the retail skyrim then for now.

Let's say I never played a certain XGD3 game online (Need For Speed- The Run etc.) and have never received a title update for it. Will I be able to play it without downloading a TU from a place like xbuc.net and using horizon for that particular game?
Or do you have to do that anyway?

Haha yeah that's the thing.
Has anyone else tried it yet though?
I did it with NBA 2k12 but I removed my hard drive and only had my flash drive with my profile plugged in.
I didn't want to try it with another game and my hard drive, in the event that I got lucky the first time.

If anyone tries, I'm sure there would be a few people anxious to hear your results.
Thanks

Battlefield is at it.  had the big bf3 update today, disc not supported afterwards.  It's my cousin, he says he cleared his cache after he played but i'm not so sure.  Anyways, theres no title update posted for it, so therefore unplayable.

Jasper 512 Phat
Liteon 9xxx series phat
STOCK FIRMWARE
MW3 purchased disc from Gamestop

I'm experienced, I have a problem. I have 2 consoles, a jtag and a live console. My live console has stock f/w and I bought mw3 at gamestop. Ever since the dae.bin change i have random dirty disc errors. Before i looked deeper into the problem I went and bought a brand new laser hop114xx (whatever it is) for the liteon, same issue. I can ACTUALLY see the game continuing to play behind the message "Disc unreadable or dirty" or something like that. So now I know it's not the dvd drive, it's NEW! and the game is still playing! Again, the game is purchased! why is this happening? Is it worth it to call m$ and complain?? or am I going to get a generic answer? btw, i'm extremely experienced this is definitely not a hardware problem. I don't want to mess with that TU team-xecuter posted, I want to avoid use anything modified on this system hardware and software. Do some phat consoles have problems reading the new xgd3?? This disc was tested on 2 other consoles extensively, with NO problems. This is only happening on my console! I really believe they screwed up with this new dae/ap2.56789 shit, i'm pissed now at the company I spend a lot of money for this stuff for it to NOT work right and me have no control over it is extremely frustrating grr.gif

Anything on my jtag i'll take full responsibility for pop.gif
Anyone?
