No you shouldn't be getting that error message if you truly have a iHAS1124b with LT MAX. Make sure you are using the latest version of Imgburn.

Make sure you flashed your drive correctly with the IMAX Burner Firmware, and as he said above.

Just for shits and giggles, use Flash Util. to revert to your stock firmware, then crossflash it to a iHAS324, THEN flash with iXtreme. That should work perfectly, as I did mine that way.

I have the same setup but get a full burn but always a unrecognized disc.
Ihas124b flashed with burner max
Benq 0800
Verbatim mkm 001 @ 2.4
Latest imgburn
Agbx verified
Hitachi 46 & 47 both give unrecognized disc
Running lt 3.0
All old backups work great but no xdg3.
Any help would be appreciated.
New to the forums so email if I don't respond often. Thanks

Have you tested your backups with kprobe or Nero speed? Even though the media is good, the burn quality could be bad. I used MKM001's as well and achieved the best results burning at 4x (score of 95 on NeroSpeed) with the following settings.

EEPROM: enable all except for OHT (disable) clear OPC    (also make sure to power cycle drive to make changes effective)

IMGBURN: OPC off, burnproof off

I would say this is due to a weak laser, XGD3 backups are known to be harder to read than XGD2 and originals. You could try a pot tweak or install a new laser. I would go for the pot tweak first, solved my problems in the past!
