Hey guys,

Hoping someone here can help me out as I can't seem to get anywhere further on my own. I'm running dash 2.0.12625.0 and whatever firmware was before the May 19th Spring update (sorry I'm not sure exactly what it's called) and I've been trying to run the new Deus Ex for the past day or so to no avail. I've been through several discs and can't seem to figure out what i'm doing wrong. Every time I pop in the game the Xbox recognizes that it's Deus Ex but when it tries to boot up the game I just get stuck at a black screen. I've ran it through ABGX with no errors.

The very first time I tried loading the game it asked me if I wanted to do an update and I said yes. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it or not. The only other backup I have to test is Dirt 3 and it's working fine. I just can't seem to put my finger on what the problem is.

The only other thing I can find about black screen is concerning AP25 games, but everyone i've talked to says this game IS NOT AP25? What could it be?


If anyone has had any similar problems or any input I'd appreciate all the help I can get.

You may need to update your dashboard to the latest for it to work. In which case you should return the drive firmware to stock, update, and reflash lt+ 1.91.

The only other reason I've personally had with black screens would be the wrong layer break.

Try using the retail game disc.
