Ping 17 Test Media
« on: August 13, 2011, 06:09:00 PM »

Alright, so something that people seem to be looking for is a way to stress test their xbox. I've been doing a bit of poking around looking for common ways that people do this because I'm looking for a hassle free way to do this as well. In poking around I've run across some information about microsoft's "ping 17 test media" disc.

I'm curious if anybody who has access to this has used it, and in doing so have they found their xboxes banned after making a network connection to live?

I have to extra xboxes that I have come across and I want to fool around checking temperatures with them under load and such. I figure if this disc works it would be an easy way to do that.

Ping 17 basically stresses the 360 by running Forza 2.

So just get forza 2 and play it for a while and run your own thermometers. There's really no point in doing this though.

The disc makes a whole bunch of calls home and would most likely be an instant ban on live, if you can even boot it through LT.
