you need to flash the drive with the ixtreme 1.6 0800 fw. You can find this in the usual places.
I currently do this with a ms25 drive and it works great.

You basically hook up the drive, pop in your game, load xbc or schtrom, and rip the game.

thanks but i need to know how you make a stock drive into one you can use to rip . i all ready know how to use xbox back up creator see i use to have a kreon drive but it stopped working and my friend told me its better to get a ts-h943 ms28 .

The link I posted tells you that you need to use 0800 firmware. Also you friend was right about using an xbox drive instead of replacing the Kreon.

I have the same sort of setup with a samsung drive with 0800, the benq on my xbox is external and mounted on top (dual cpu heatsinks) so I just unplug the power from that and plug it to my samsung pull the side off the computer and plug a spare sata cable from the mobo to the drive. It's a real pain in the ass to set up but I don't get new games very often so it's not that bad.
