We keep thanking "them" because if it werent for their hard work we wouldnt even be able to complain in the first place because there would be nothing to complain about..... as for "legit backups" ....yeah really? I personally have never been easily "encouraged" to do anything I didnt already WANT to do...... thats like saying the people who made Napster ENCOURAGED you to download music you didnt own... I dont think ANYONE is encouraging anyone else to wear an eye-patch and so I also thank all those who have made the scene what it is today and for all their hard work and efforts.

How about to release new 0800 that can measure all the info for AP25 as well as SSv2? So anyone can make proper backups.

I don't see why everyone needs a new 0800. If you want to do legit rips, do them using any 0800 and run the rip through abgx360. I don't see what the problem is... Quit complaining about what they don't give you and be happy with the billion things they do give you! What makes it "legit" is the fact you own the game already.

Thanks captain Obvious! We CAN rip games with current 0800 WITHOUT AP25 info and we know that as much as you. Thanks again cap.

BUT

We can't rip AP25 measures from our original discs. Think with your head a little. We have different version of games in shitty Russia (different gamedate, different media id, etc.), SO these discs have DIFFERENT AP25 info, SO these patches for scene-releases will not help us!

No need to re-rip as the hard drive doesn't store checks. That's why you have to have the disc in the drive when you select to play the game (the disc is spun up, and verified genuine, and if it is the game continues into booting).

Just make sure your backup is kosher and you're good to go. No need to re-rip the disc to the HDD. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

As already stated unfortunately, if the capture method were made public it would be fixable, and then *no one* would be able to rip these games if/unless a new capture method was discovered.

As a possibility you could ask Team if it would be possible for you to send your game to them with return postage and have them rip the AP25 information for you and apply it to ABGX (or at least have it send to you). This would be helping the community and would also allow you to backup your game for a fee (maybe others in your community would be willing to pitch in a few dollars to get the rip done).

how do you think ms can fix it? they can only add a few more checks. but whatever, if we don't have new0800 it does not mean that we can't make copies of our originals (due this patches)

Hi, since my burned copy of black ops wasn't working anymore, I went out and bought a new copy of the game and I put it in my drive and I am still getting disc unreadable error on the new official store bought version. Is my xbox f-ed up?

sounds like bad laser, try opening the dvd drive and cleaning the laser with a q-tip and alcohol. Still not working, replace the drive with the same model.

haha i remeber getting flamed for saying that people should be careful of MS adding ap 2.5 checks to older games, nice to finally know i was right, but also i feel like its a bit of a relief that ap 2.5 checks are getting added in FW updates rather than title updates, one thing i think they need to do if actually check the FW to see if they can find a list of ALL games that now running with the ap 2.5 crew,

wouldnt be surprised if MS had stocks in verbatim lol the amount of times everyone has to reburn everything

Just making sure I understand what's up... if we already have LT+, there's no reason to re-burn these games with the AP2.5 data, correct?
I don't mean to ask a dumb question, I just prefer to be safe than sorry as I often make incorrect assumptions haha

You need AP2.5 patches and LT+ to be able to play backups of any game with AP2.5 checks enabled.
