Abgx To Force Patch?
« on: December 22, 2010, 02:41:00 PM »

hey guys,

i have a copy of the sims 3 that i am verifying with abgx 1.05. The game passes verification but the ss is version 1.  I have abgx set to option 3. is there anyway for force abgx to patch this game to get ssv2?

ABGX doesn't patch if it passes verification (which yours does)

To patch anyways you need to manually patch the files.

There's a link on how to do it on the ABGX website or just go here.

That's what worries me about ABGX. Why would it pass verification if it's supposed to be SSV2?

Thats because SSV1 as long as stealth and splitvid are still valid the game is still safe to play without an instant ban. The problem is that to be LIVE safe we need SSV2 for Wave 4 (possibly Wave 3 as well) and higher to be LIVE safe. C4Eva hasn't told us *why* this is the case, but the point is that its generally understood that these checksums are ok for offline play but not ok for online play (maybe something is being sent to LIVE that fails verification if its SSV1, I don't know).

So yeah, Wave 3 and higher with SSV 1, I'd be real sure I patched to SSV 2 before going on LIVE.

And as I linked above, you don't have to inject bad data into the SS to get ABGX to correct. You can use the same injection method to just patch the right SSV2 information into the game int he first place and then just re-verify to make sure all is good.
