Confused As To How To Burn Ap2.5
« on: November 25, 2010, 04:38:00 PM »

Hey guys,

Been away from the scene for a while, came back and saw all this AP2.5 stuff. Ive upgraded my Liton to LT+ and tested with older games and it is booting fine. Basically my question is regarding ripping and burning backups for AP2.5.

I have a retail disc of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood from the UK and have ripped this to my computer using an 0800 TS-H943 drive. I have then been told that ABGX will look at the image and fix anything needed for AP2.5. So I ran the image through ABGX 1.0.4 and I get this message:

Region Code: 0x00FFFD00
     PAL
     NTSC/J (Excludes China)

Checking AP25 replay sector
AP25 replay sector is blank!
Attempting to fix the AP25 replay sector
     Looking for AP25_CAA468A3.sha1 in the online verified database

* Re-using existing connection! (#0) with host abgx360.net
* Connected to abgx360.net (69.73.174.253) port 80 (#0)
> GET /Apps/StealthFiles/AP25_CAA468A3.sha1 HTTP/1.1
User-Agent: abgx360 v1.0.4 (Windows)
Host: abgx360.net
Accept: */*

* The requested URL returned error: 404
* Closing connection #0

     There is no AP25 replay sector for this game in the online database yet
Unable to fix AP25 replay data for this Media ID

Now this rip has been ripped from a proper retail game, would I not be able to just burn this and play with LT+? As ive noticed the only AP2.5 patch that has been released for AC:B is for a 'Global' release? (Which I assume is the group name of people who leaked it on the internet)

Any help with this would be great ..... as im used to just ripping my own games with an 0800 drive, burning them and being able to play.... not having to actually patch them with anything..

Thanks

Chris

I need to dump my own copy of AC:B shortly which is the same version as yours so I will post back with the results on that but if I have the same problem then I think it's likely because the European versions carry a slightly different SS to the the only verified AP2.5 release available, which is based on the scene release of the US version.

It's crazy I know, but that's how abgx works. Unfortunately T-X aren't setting a very good example here in that if you want an AP2.5 safe copy then you will probably either need to import the original from the USA or use an illegal copy from the internet, and guess which option most users will probably go for.
