Ap2.5 Question
« on: February 02, 2020, 05:44:00 PM »

Can the dash update thats on AC:B disc, for example, be modified in ISO form to have a lesser dash on there? I know that this is wave patching and from what I've read this isnt possible.

I suppose my real question then is this: Does a game upon loading default to updating the dash from its own disc or is it the actual game when booting that checks the dash revision?

My xbox dash is 8955, so im thinking before I go updating to latest dash on AC:B disc I should hold out...unless it is the actual game that checks the dash ver (im guessing it prob is)?

Before you say its ok LT+ coming soon, I have a 0079FL Hitachi so Im thinking Im screwed lol.

Sorry just one other question Ive thought of..
Would I be right in thinking if I put a BenQ in there, spoofed as Hitachi, with LT+ on it, this will work?
The NAND knows I have a Hitachi and capable of AP2.5, but a spoofed BenQ with LT+ will meet both these requirements right?

Thanks guys

Just play your original discs and you won't have to worry about updates and disc checks. After LT+ is released for Hitachi drives (providing it does get released), then you can return to using backups.
