Patching Mix Matching Ss Crc And Dmi
« on: June 14, 2010, 01:46:00 AM »

Hi everyone, is it safe to mix match SS files when patching a file from ssv1 to ssv2 ex: SS 64A72ED1 to SS D0F18B3A. Now I instantly believed it is not safe but afterwards I ran abgx again and everything returned green and it was ssv2<trusted>. This is also with replacing the DMI file in the same fashion the one thing all of these have in common is the game xex is all the same.
Sorry for my scatterbrain writing style anyone have any takes on this? Thank you for your patience and reading this post. smile.gif

It's a perfectly valid question and as far as I understand it, it is fine and 'safe'.  I also feel a bit weird when I have to patch my Kreon rip with a different DMI just to get SSv2 (tbh, I think SSv2 is a waste of time, because if you check the angles in ABGX, no SSv2 rip shows angles different from the standard Waves 1-3 ones) on the disc, but who cares, we'll all get banned anyway.

Good luck,
